RulDope was founded in 2010 and quickly became a premier music publication for the rock, indie and hip hop scene. RulDope plyed a vital role in the launch of many unsigned artists' careers as well as contributing to the exposure of signed acts. After much praise and accomplishments (RulDope worked with artists like Atmosphere, Paramore, DRUGS, Living Legends), RulDope launched their indie record label- RulDope Records. RulDope Records works with the hidden gems of the music scene- the musicians you may not knw yet but SHOULD! They also have an in house team of management and publicity representing artists and filling all their press needs. We have offices in Portland, Oregon, Reno, Nevada and the Northern California area. This is the word that Rul Dope’s favortie R&B singer Brandan Smith uses on his newest release to describe his art, and Crush is almost nine minutes of audible delight that proves it. This new track will be on his upcoming mixtape Hello World Volume 2 due this December 24th, and you won’t be sad that you got an early start with this download. The first half starts out with smooth undertones that had me instantly thinking of the Rat Pack. Those incredible men of the past were the epitome of classy and smooth; but each one somehow still playful, flirty, and possessing talent that left all the girls thinking dirty. The similarites shown by Brandan in this sweet song are why I have decided to crown Mr. Hello World the upcoming Sinatra of R&B. He has grown, and it shows in the sincerity that seeps out of the surprise second half of the track which embraces the freedom and joy that come from loving yourself. Next to Me by Sleeping at Last

Sleeping at Last has always had a special place in my heart. I can’t help but rep anybody with talent that came from NorCal. Even though they now make their home and sweet music in Illinois, us genius’ have to stick together. That’s right; these guys are lyrical and promotional Einsteins. This past year they began and completed a project called “Yearbook” in which the band wrote, recorded, and released 3 new songs every month for a year from October 2010 to September 2011. The result is 36 songs you NEED to check out. Just as we all go through a variety of experiences in one year, this project covers all different aspects and seasons of life gorgeously. With incredible honesty and melodies that will gently carry you through your own thoughts, this music reminds us all that whether times are good or bad, they can be expressed and enjoyed as something beautiful.
