Saboteur By Gardening, Not Architecture
Gardening, Not Architecture is the product of one very persistent and talented veteran of the scene, Sarah Saturday. Her latest album, “Saboteur,” came out in November and is filled with soft rock-electric indie bliss. The first time I saw Sarah live I was completely captivated and convinced. At times “Saboteur” reminds me of early Tegan and Sara meets progressive Uh Huh Her. Overall, the finished product is close to perfect.
As if the release of “Saboteur” wasn’t enough, Miss Saturday has released a fun, experimental project that she calls “The Florida Sessions.” She spent two weeks alone in Florida and began recording demos, posting them to her site. “It’s my shorter-term and less-intense version of Bon Iver’s stint in a northern Wisconsin cabin that produced For Emma, Forever Ago”, says Sarah. You can find “The Florida Sessions” at her soundcloud- http://soundcloud.com/sarahsaturday as well as www.gardeningnotarchitecture.com. Join the mailing list so you can receive updates and all kinds of tunes!
Sarah Saturday is a driving force in our music scene. She remains so true and genuine to not only herself but to her listeners. She has been an inspiration to myself and a model for so many others on following your dreams and sometimes just throwing ambition to the wind! Pick up “Saboteur” on Itunes and check out “The Florida Sessions” today!

by Our Devices

If You Need To Say “I Love You” Call Your Mom By Our Devices
Hailing from Reno, Nevada comes progressive rock band, Our Devices. Musically, the six piece brings up tempo drum beats and hard hitting riffs over the attractive vocals of Adam Tillet. Gang vocals fill the end of the track and the three piece guitar work makes for not a dull moment. Lyrically above your typical unsigned act, Our Devices shows that they are a force to be reckoned with in the future of the scene. Check this group at facebook.com/ourdevices and be sure to pick up some free downloads before you are paying for their music.

“I loved you then and I love you now..”
Tongue Tied By Grouplove
I am in love with the LA based group, Grouplove. The groups debut is titled, Never Trust A Happy Song and is sure to impress. With indie poppy funk and a Modest Mouse esque, Grouplove is fresh and make me want to fucking dance. I wanted to post this video of their performance for Spin magazine of the track “Tongue Tied” because I love how great they sound live. Check out the music videos as well as all of their music, period. Pick up the debut, I promise you will be lovin’ you some Grouplove.

The Pilot By The White Buffalo
White Buffalo is a group straight from the South, wishing they were living in an old western film riding around and shooting indians. The vocals are amazing, raspy and strong while hard bass lines and guitar work make The White Buffalo a very unique but enjoyable group.

Lets Talk By Call Me Anything
I wasn’t sure what to expect from Call Me Anything with this latest video. I was nervous I was going to cringe over the boy band pop that was about to take over my screen, however, I wasn’t totally turned off by this Boston pop punk act. A quality video for the single “Lets Talk,” they may not be a group I listen to in my free time anytime soon but you may find something you like here.

album CoCo Beware
Thankful By Caveman
Brooklyn indie rockers Caveman are the prime example of the ‘Do It Yourself’ process. This group created a huge buzz around themselves, all starting from a local hole in the wall bar playing their demo constantly. Working off that buzz, the group held back releasing an album until this past September. Their decision proved to work in their favor, CoCo Beware was released to high praise. If you like good, spooky indie rock, I highly suggest Caveman.
